Sara joins the Marrawah Law team in the role of Business Development Manager with a focus on supporting the team, identifying both commercial and pro bono opportunities and managing significant projects.

Sara is a Trawlwoolway (Palawa/ Pakana) woman from lutruwita/ Tasmania who is an active member of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community and a driver of the social justice movement in lutruwita.

Sara has spent more than 20 years working for the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community in various roles, across administration, finance, legal, activism, advocacy, social and emotional wellbeing for the Aboriginal Land Council of Tasmania, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission, Tasmanian Aboriginal Land and Sea Council and the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.

Sara has been at the forefront of many Aboriginal rights campaigns including – Aboriginal Heritage protection, Land Return, Stolen Generation Compensation, Change the Date and Repatriation of Ancestral Remains and Cultural objects from institutions in Scotland, London, and Chicago.

Sara is passionate about making a difference in the Tasmanian Aboriginal community and working collaboratively with the Marrawah team.

In addition to her work and community pursuits, Sara enjoys Sara enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her community.
