Hailing from Masvingo in Zimbabwe, Shenetty Makoti’s totem is the Shumba or lion.
Following her graduation from James Cook University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Law, Shenetty has accepted a Law Graduate role with Marrawah Law. Originally joining the firm as an intern and then paralegal, Shenetty is focussed on building her commercial law experience and putting theory into practice.
In particular, Shenetty is looking forward to supporting clients who are looking to start their businesses and bring their vision to life. She is also interested to gain experience in employment law.
In addition to her work, Shenetty is very passionate about volunteering in the community and is also working to fundraise for the school her family started in Zimbabwe.
This passion and commitment aligns perfectly with Marrawah Law’s approach and the firm is very proud of her achievements to date. We know clients will benefit from Shenetty’s experience, theoretical knowledge and sense of purpose.
Shenetty is very keen to progress her career in commercial law but is also gaining great experience in native title law through her work with the Marrawah team.
In addition to her work and her studies, Shenetty is very passionate about volunteering in the community and is also working to fundraise for the school her family started in Zimbabwe.
