Over the past 25 years, Nareeta has been employed in Advisory Services, particularly in the speciality of Business Restructuring and Insolvency.

Nareeta presently divides her time between two careers. Nareeta is employed by BDO (Nth Qld) as a Senior Accountant within the Business Restructuring service line and is employed by Marrawah Law as a Solicitor, seconding to Holding Redlich Lawyers and undertaking Pro-Bono cases.

Nareeta was admitted into the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2018 as an Australian Lawyer and was the recipient of the 2018 Qld Law Society First Nations Legal Student of the Year and additionally awarded the Associate Vice Chancellor Medal at Central Qld University.

Nareeta identifies as a descendant of the Purga Mission, Ipswich Queensland with cultural connections to the Kullili Thargomindah people, and maternal non-indigenous Australian heritage. Nareeta is an indigenous name that means ‘Waterlilly’, named by the late Oodgeroo Noonuccal, Poet and Activist; a descendant of the Noonuccal people of Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island).
