Henry joins Marrawah Law from recent roles with the Cape York Land Council and the Federal Court of Australia. With additional experience at top tier commercial law firms and the Australian Competition Tribunal, Henry has worked across Australia in Native Title, commercial litigation and arbitration.
During his career to date, Henry has been involved in Native Title Claims, litigation, private arbitration between traditional owner groups, hearings on country and the negotiation of Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs).
Working on country in North-East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory as well as in Cape York and Cairns and from a Melbourne base, Henry has an excellent blend of experience in communities and the corporate sector.
Henry has a passion and commitment to support clients through Indigenous Law processes and has a strong interest in the developing space of Native Title compensation.
Having worked on both sides of Indigenous Law matters he has a unique perspective and approach to successfully partnering with clients.
Henry has extensive involvement in community volunteering and has held a variety of positions on law committees.
With a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, Henry will support the Marrawah Law team’s work across Australia from the Melbourne office.
